When prison warden Melissa is transferred to Corsica, she finds the relaxed atmosphere of her new workplace contrasts sharply with the aggressive inhabitants of the neighbourhood where she now lives with her partner Djibril. Melissa’s integration is facilitated by Saveriu, a young inmate who places her under his protection. But everything comes at a price, and once freed, Saveriu expects her help in return.

Stéphane Demoustier

She was born in Lille in 1977. After several short films, he directed his first feature film in 2014, Terre Battue, which was screened at the Venice Film Festival, followed by the medium-length film Allons Enfants, selected for the Berlinale (Generation) in 2017. La Fille Au Bracelet, presented at the 2019 Locarno Film Festival, won the César Award for Best Adaptation. He also directed two seasons of the series Opera (OCS) and recently directed the first four episodes of the series Cimetière indien, which will be broadcast on Canal Plus in 2024.
