Set in 1930s Paris, this compelling biography tells the story of young Charles Aznavour’s first steps onto the stage.
Discovering his passion for performing by taking a small role for a few coins, Charles decides to pursue his dream of becoming a singer. However, as the son of Armenian immigrants with limited means and an unusual voice, he faces doubt from those around him.
Driven by unwavering determination, Charles risks everything and finally catches the attention of chanson icon Edith Piaf. This pivotal encounter marks a turning point on his journey to success. But how much is he willing to sacrifice for his dream?

Mehdi Idir, Grand Corps Malade
Mehdi Idir: French director Mehdi Idir has been creating videos focused on hip-hop and urban culture since 2002. His first documentary was released in 2004 and achieved great success. He became known for the light painting technique and made an international impact with his video Paris By Light. He founded the Ca Peut Chemar collective and produced a program on Canal+. For the past 10 years, he has directed music videos for Grand Corps Malade.
Grand Corps Malade: Born in 1977, French artist Grand Corps Malade is a pioneer of slam music in France. He discovered slam in Paris in 2003 and quickly developed his unique style. His debut album Midi 20, released in 2006, was a major success. He won two Victoires de la musique awards. Later, his 2008 album Enfant de la ville brought him recognition across the French-speaking world. Besides writing and performing, he organizes writing workshops in Saint-Denis to support young slam artists.
