A moving biography that tells the life journey of beloved rebetika and laika Greek singer Stelios Kazantzidis (1931–2001), whose voice shaped a generation and inspired hope. Born a Pontic refugee child, Stelios discovered his extraordinary musical talent amidst hardship. As he carved out a solid place in the Greek music scene, he also faced challenges in his relationships, inner desires, and the expectations of his devoted fans. This film reveals the man behind the legendary voice and his timeless impact.

Yorgos Tsemberopoulos
Born in Athens, he studied Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business while working as a still photographer. Later, he pursued directing at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, where he lived and worked until 1981. In 1987, he founded Filmiki Productions SA in Athens, producing commercials and directing feature films. He is a founding member of the Union of Greek Directors-Producers and serves on the board of Greenpeace Hellas. Additionally, he has held board positions at the Greek Film Centre (GFC) and the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and served as president of the Hellenic Film Academy from 2019 to 2022.
